Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko believes that officials who are rude to citizens should be dismissed. She said that it is not necessary to introduce other rules in the laws on liability for this, since the existing measures are quite sufficient.

"A civil servant, an official who is boorish, rude or insults people. Well, what articles? Toss out them," Matvienko told.

In addition, the speaker believes that it is necessary to select worthy people for the civil service. Matvienko reminded officials that their salary is formed from taxes of citizens of the country. Therefore, civil servants should provide services directly to the population and respect them.
Earlier, we compiled a rating of the most ridiculous statements of Russian officials. Many statesmen were not punished for their boorish behavior towards citizens.  For example, the Director of the municipal enterprise "Suzemkakomservis" Sergey Tsukanov on the complaint of a local resident said: "I'm going to slap you in the mug, okay?". Later, the official explained his behavior by saying that he had a "hard day".
