Zoom Market Agency conducted a study among 25 cities in the country. The Russians interviewed on the subject of depression. Respondents were asked several questions: "Do you often feel sad?", "Do you enjoy life?", "Are you happy with yourself?", "Do you consider yourself a depressive person?".

The rating of depressed cities included Norilsk, Perm, Saratov, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Bryansk, Cherepovets, Ufa and Yekaterinburg. Residents of these cities are sad most often, according to Lenta.ru.

Most positive Russians live in Simferopol, Sochi and Krasnodar. Experts believe that people's mood depends on climate conditions. Depression has been linked  to vitamin D deficiency.  According to scientists, the lack of this vitamin in the body leads to an increase in the level of anxiety and irritability.
