In Donbass, the commander of the Vostok Battalion reconnaissance group of the DNR internal troops, Alexei Trotsai, known by his code name "Leo", was killed. He was injured when he crossed the front line to take out the body of a dead soldier and to help a wounded friend. The commander was in intensive care for several days, but the doctors could not save him. He was accompanied on his last journey by his regiment. His comrades say that he was fighting for Donbass till his last breath. His house was behind the front line, he could only see it through binoculars.
The tragedy happened when the so-called “Minsk agreements” came into effect. We would like to note that this summer our camera crew was on the front line of his detachment. We express our sincere condolences to the relatives and friends of Alexei Trotzai.
