Vladimir Putin personally congratulated Khabib Nurmagomedov, world champion in mixed martial arts, on his victory. The head of Dagestan Vladimir Vasiliev and the champion’s father Khabib-Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov attended the meeting.

The Head of State noted that It was a decent fight against a strong and tenacious rival. In response, Nurmagomedov paid homage to Dustin Poirier, for his respectful attitude. We would like to remind that Khabib defended the title of world champion in mixed martial arts. Fighting in Dubai, Khabib produced a flawless performance to beat Poirier, forcing the interim champion to tap out via a rear-naked chokehold before the end of the third round. Khabib admitted that Dustin Porrier was a stronger opponent than Conor Macregor.
